WOMEN'S GROUP
Women's Group is a safe place for women to share experiences and advice. Topics include self-esteem, domestic violence, physical well-being. Women's Group also welcomes facilitators to present on educational topics. The group meets on Thursdays at 10:00. Lunch is served. If you would like to join please contact Tara Butler.
MEN'S GROUP
Men's Group is a space for men to be honest with each other and themselves, to share experience and hope, and work on developing self-responsiblity and self-awareness. Our men's group is a safe place for all. The group meets on Wednesdays at 11:00am. Lunch is served. If you would like to join, please contact Mr. Stokes.
YOUTH ENGAGEMENT
Youth employment training and civic engagement program as well as a youth home improvement and technical training program are available during summers. Isles Youth Build Institute partnered with ABW in 2018 to create technical training for young adults from the city of training.
EMPLOYMENT SKILLS
Individualized counseling is available on topics such as business etiquette, resume building, interview strategies, computer skills and job searches.
JOB TRAINING
A Better Way offers several job training programs with partners in the community.
We offer a NJ Forklift Certification and members can receive an official NJ Forklifting Certification. Please call the office to sign up for the next class.
INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING
Certified counseling for anger and crisis management available for any members. Please contact Perry Shaw for more details.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
Community service opportunities are available daily. Members must attend an initial training before starting. Please contact the office for more information.
GED TUTORING
ABW provides individual tutoring to help individuals prepare for the High School Equivalency Exam.

FOOD PANTRY
A Better Way is now offering a food pantry for residents in the area surrounding the city of Trenton. It will be open Mondays and Fridays from 12-1:30 PM at Turning Point Church (15 South Broad Street, Trenton NJ 08608).
